2026-2027 Rose-Wide School Counselor
The Rose Academies are an innovative group of alternative charter high schools serving diverse learners since 1999. We provide a supportive, student-centered blended learning environment designed especially for students who are at-risk and may have struggled in traditional school settings.
The Rose-Wide School Counselor position supports all five Rose Academy schools, working collaboratively across sites to ensure students receive comprehensive academic, social-emotional, and career guidance. This role requires strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills, as well as the ability to support school leaders and coordinate counseling services across five Rose schools.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated School Counselor who is innovative, student-focused, and adaptable, with a strong commitment to serving at-risk students. In this role, you will play a key part in engaging and supporting students throughout their high school journey across all Rose Academy campuses.
Starting salary is $50,000 to $55,000
Essential Job Functions
- Participate in the School Safety Assessment and Prevention Team to support strategic planning and interventions.
- Implement and document school safety interventions and services provided.
- Attend the required annual training for the School Safety grant.
- Plan and coordinate monthly ECAP activities in collaboration with school teams.
- Provide academic advising, graduation planning, and post-secondary career guidance individually and in small groups.
- Offer brief counseling for social-emotional concerns and refer students to behavioral health specialists as needed.
- Support students’ development of social and emotional skills, including self-efficacy, appropriate social interactions, and career readiness.
- Coordinate community resources to support student needs.
- Participate in special education assessment meetings, IEPs, and 504 plan meetings.
- Assist in developing and implementing positive behavioral interventions.
- Use data to identify and implement intervention strategies to support academic success.
- Provide staff with relevant information to enhance their understanding of student performance and behavior.
- Consult with instructional staff on program modifications and strategies to support student growth and responsible behavior.
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree or advanced degree required
- Valid School Counselor or Social Worker Certificate issued by the Arizona Department of Education
- Must have reliable transportation to travel among five schools
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Certified Social Workers may apply
