Frequently Asked Questions

Will schools be closed for the rest of the school year?

Governor Ducey has said the school closure will extend through the end of the school year. Rose is offering online instruction and/or packet work through the end of the school year.

Will summer school be offered?

Yes, we will be holding summer school as scheduled. We will let you know as soon as possible if this changes.

Will there be a graduation ceremony?

In light of the school closure through the remainder of the school year and the current executive order issued by the Governor to stay at home until April 30th, it appears our originally scheduled May Graduation ceremony will need to be postponed.

We have no way of knowing whether or not we will be able to return to normal on the April 30th date or if there will be an extension to remain under a stay at home order.

The Rose Academies hold their graduation ceremonies at the Tucson Music Hall and therefore, it is important we make a decision sooner than later to ensure we are able to celebrate our graduates.

We recently sent out a short survey to our pending graduates and families to gather your input on the postponed date and we listened.

Therefore, graduation ceremonies for our graduating class of 2020 will be held on August 14, 2020.

We are committed to honoring our 2020 graduates!

Will there be State testing?

AzM2 (AzMERIT) and AIMS Science have been cancelled.

Are teachers available during the day?

Yes. Teachers are available from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm via Odysseyware and Google Classroom.

How can parents access their students’ online coursework?

Login to your student’s Odysseyware account using their Username and Password. Parents/Guardians can contact the school directly to create a Parent Portal account in Odysseyware, this will allow you to track your student’s progress in Odysseyware.

Will my student still receive speech or counseling services?

Related services will continue at the Rose Academies during the mandatory school closure to ensure we are continuing to provide special education students services without interruption.  Our Special Education Unit will continue to provide Related Services outlined in the student’s most current IEP via telephone.

Summer School Welcome Letter

Dear Students, Parents & Guardians,

First, we hope you and your family are safe and healthy as you read this letter. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding as we have been adjusting, like you, to the drastic changes in life during the last few weeks and months.  Next, we want to welcome you to our summer school program and provide you with an overview of what you need to know in order for your student to have a successful summer school experience.

Summer School Basics

  • Summer School coursework and teacher instruction will be offered mainly via online access.
  • Some limited on-site numbers of students will be allowed for in-person instruction on campus.
    • How that will be managed and how social distancing and Covid-19 health precautions will be implemented is explained in the attached document.
  • Please note that Rose Academies is fully prepared to support students who do not have online access from home or other location: see below for more information.

We look forward to providing you and your student a safe and successful summer school experience.  We are deeply appreciative of our students, parents, teachers, and staff for the flexibility, perseverance, and creativity during these challenging times.
